Mental Decluttering and Letting Go

Things to let go of
For so many of us, transitioning from one year to the next can feel refreshing – like a second chance. The beautiful truth is that we get to do that every month, every week and every day. (We’ll remind you again as the months unfold – You are welcome!)

But our culture tends to put a lot of pressure on the New Year transition being EPIC (I despise that word actually). If you missed the note about intentions  – read it here. That note is about how to get better at setting them so the intention itself doesn’t mess you up!

This week, we are talking about what it means to “Let go.”

Adding to our plate without taking things OFF our plate can set us up for a wobbly start. So first things first: Is there something you are holding on to that doesn’t really feel right but you can’t seem to let it go?

“To let go does not mean to get rid of.

To let go means to let be.

When we let be with compassion,

things come and go on their own.”

– Jack Kornfield

Study after study reveals that our grudges and grievances, once released, can improve  our mental and physical health. Our communication gets more clear and honest, our resolve to take care of our body is easier, and our overall well-being is more stable.

As we start a new year, name what isn’t aligned with your true self. Is there something you want to let go of that will open you up to start something new?

We are curious to see what unfolds in this new year for you AND for Nourish.
