This super simple recipe is ready in 5 minutes of hands-on work and 20 minutes of largely left unattended cooking time. The blend of balsamic and fig flavor is rich and presents beautifully. It was a perfect appetizer for a gathering.
1 cup balsamic vinegar
1/2 cup dried figs, finely chopped
Large organic goat cheese log
1/4 cup walnuts, chopped and toasted
- In a small sauce pan, heat balsamic vinegar over medium and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add the chopped figs and let simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Let cool slightly.
- Poor mixture over goat cheese.
- Sprinkle walnuts on top.
For those who like a little heat, add a few grinds of cracked black pepper or one to two drops of black pepper essential oil (we highly recommend using Young Living – we can hook you up).
