How do you feel about the Keto diet for cancer patients?

There is some belief that a keto diet can help cancer patients “starve cancer cells” by preventing the cells from using glucose to grow. But at this point, we believe there is no hard evidence that it will benefit cancer patients. The keto diet requires following a strict diet-plan. This drastic change in eating habits may lead to digestive discomfort as well as weight loss and nutritional deficits during treatments that may not be beneficial. For cancer patients interested in the keto diet, a more moderate approach may be better. We believe that cutting down on the amount of refined carbohydrates and increasing the amount of healthy fats and green vegetables is good for everyone regardless. If you’re seriously considering the keto diet we advise you to talk with your doctor and cancer specialist before doing anything.

Thanks for the comment–it’s important for people to question.
